CARTOGRAPHY
Photocollage build through the appropriation of thousands of images shared on social media by Peruvian state entities attached to the Ministry of Environment.
The photographs, of anonymous authorship, were taken by users in different locations across the country and shared on social media platforms of the public entities during the years 2024 and 2025. These images, taken with mobile devices, do not meet any technical or academic criteria and are intended to document the weather in urban and rural areas of Peru for informational purposes.
Photographs of everyday scenes and natural phenomena allows a contemporary representation of a photographic cartography of Peru that builds a body of images that explores the concepts of landscape and territory, questioning their correspondences and contrasts, as well as the relationship between men and his environment.
