PROJECT       EXHIBITION

INVERSIONS

Earlier projects as Zaga and Ocupa work as a preview of Inversions; a solo show at Lucia de la Puente Gallery (2014).

The project presents a series of portrayed handmade billboards built anonymously along the coastal desert of Peru that are constantly taken over with advertising and propaganda graffiti. The action of appropriation made in situ over the billboards is replied by myself with acrylic paint on the photographic medium, completing a post-edition process silencing the original graphics and achieving a transformation (inversion) on their original messages.

  • Medium format film photography. Scanned slide film, C-print on cotton paper + acrylic paint.
  • Variable dimensions
  • Single piece + AP
